NDC Accuses Tinubu Government Of Wasteful Spending Over N1.015bn Prado SUVs

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has criticised President Bola Tinubu’s administration over alleged wasteful spending, questioning the cost of seven brand-new Toyota Prado SUVs amid the economic hardship facing Nigerians.

The party, in a statement, said the vehicles, estimated to cost N145 million each, would amount to N1.015 billion for the seven units.

According to the NDC, the vehicles were counted in a video, adding that the number could be higher.

The party accused the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led administration of funding the lavish lifestyles of politicians while ordinary Nigerians continue to bear the burden of government reforms.

It described the administration as wasteful and urged Nigerians to vote it out of power, arguing that public resources should be managed in the interest of citizens.

The NDC also said its presidential candidate, Peter Obi, was committed to reducing the cost of governance and ensuring the judicious management of the country’s resources.

The party called on Nigerians to support Obi, saying the country needed a government that would work for the benefit of all citizens rather than a privileged few.
