Aruwe Partners UK Group to Support Mushin Residents with Rehabilitation Care

ARUWE

Residents of Mushin living with mobility difficulties are set to benefit from a healthcare partnership between Mushin Local Government and the UK-based Neurorehab Initiative.

The two-day programme, which began on Monday at Omodigbo Primary Healthcare Centre, provides beneficiaries with counselling, occupational therapy, wellness checks and mobility assessments.

The intervention also includes the distribution of mobility aids such as wheelchairs, crutches and walking sticks to residents who need them.

The programme, led by Neurorehab Initiative Project Lead, Abiodun Mathew Lawason, attracted senior citizens and young people, including persons living with autism and other conditions affecting mobility.

Chairman of Mushin Local Government, Hon. Olatunbosun Haruna Aruwe, said the initiative was aimed at providing practical support to vulnerable residents and helping people with mobility challenges become more independent.

Lawason said his connection to Mushin and his experience in the United Kingdom inspired him to bring professional rehabilitation services closer to residents, particularly those experiencing difficulties with movement and everyday activities.
