Akwa Ibom Tech Week 2026 Set to Showcase Homegrown Innovations

The Ibom Innovation Network has announced the 2026 edition of Akwa Ibom Tech Week (AKTW), scheduled to hold from November 2 to 7, 2026, across the state.

The week-long event, themed “Scaling the Frontiers: From Homegrown Innovations to Global Markets,” will bring together technology innovators, entrepreneurs, investors, business leaders, public-sector stakeholders and other members of the innovation ecosystem.

According to the organisers, the programme will feature several activities designed to promote innovation, entrepreneurship, technology adoption and connections between local innovators and global markets.

The event will begin on November 2 with a Golf and Tech Mixer at Ibom Icon Hotel & Golf Resort in Uyo. The networking session is expected to connect founders, business leaders, investors and key players in the technology ecosystem.

On November 3, the Innovation Challenge and Pitch Finale will take place at the Ibom LED Centre, Uyo, where innovators will pitch solutions in areas including artificial intelligence, agriculture, infrastructure, tourism, and the blue and green economy.

The programme will continue on November 4 with a Public Service Workshop, Career Fair and Cultural Night in Uyo. The organisers said the activities would provide an opportunity to connect public-sector leaders with talents, explore career opportunities and showcase Akwa Ibom’s cultural heritage.

The main conference, exhibition and showcases will hold on November 5 at Four Points by Sheraton, Ikot Ekpene. The flagship event will feature industry leaders, technology exhibitions and showcases by emerging founders.

The final activity, Ecosystem and State Tours, is scheduled for November 6 and will take participants through Akwa Ibom’s innovation ecosystem and selected development projects in Uyo and other parts of the state.

The organisers described the programme as “Five Days. Different Ways to Plug In,” encouraging members of the public and interested participants to take advantage of the event.
