Obi Calls for Collective Effort to Build New Nigeria

Obi

NDC presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has called on Nigerians to work together to build a better country ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Obi made the call during an interaction with Nigerians living in Manchester, United Kingdom, where he listened to their concerns about the situation in Nigeria.

He said the country was facing serious challenges and urged Nigerians not to shy away from the responsibility of rebuilding the nation.

Obi identified corruption and leadership failures as major problems holding Nigeria back from achieving its full potential.

According to him, Nigeria is richly endowed with the resources needed to become one of the world’s most developed countries but has continued to struggle because of poor leadership and corruption.

The NDC candidate said Nigerians must therefore approach the 2027 election with seriousness, describing it as an opportunity to determine the country’s future.

He urged citizens at home and abroad to remain committed to the emergence of what he described as a “New Nigeria.”

Obi said the country could achieve meaningful progress if leaders with the right character, competence, capacity and commitment were entrusted with power.
