NOUN Student Wins N4m Grant, International Business Trip at Ondo Summit
A Computer Science Education student of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Abdurrazzaq Abdurrauf Kehinde, has won a N4 million grant and an all-expenses-paid international business trip at the 2026 Ondo State Entrepreneurship Summit.
Kehinde, who studies at the university’s Akure Study Centre, emerged winner of the ONDEA My Idea 3.0 Business Competition held at The Dome, International Culture and Event Centre, Akure.
The student is an incubatee of the NOUN Entrepreneurship Education (NEE 2026_1) programme, an intensive enterprise development initiative that ran from March to July 2026.
The programme, organised by the Directorate of Entrepreneurship and General Studies, is designed to equip students with practical entrepreneurial skills and prepare them to become job creators rather than job seekers.
The N4 million prize package includes extensive business support and an all-expenses-paid international business trip.
Reacting to the achievement, the Director of the Directorate of Entrepreneurship and General Studies, Dr Samuel Awolumate, said Kehinde’s success demonstrated NOUN’s commitment to innovative and practical education.
Awolumate noted that the university was not only advancing open and distance learning but also preparing students for participation in the global economy.
The Vice-Chancellor of NOUN, Prof. Uduma Oji Uduma, also congratulated Kehinde for making the institution proud.
