Oyetola

The Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, has pledged to unite, reconcile and rebuild the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State following the outcome of the August 15 governorship election.
Oyetola made the pledge after receiving what he described as an overwhelming vote of confidence from leaders, stakeholders and members of the party during a stakeholders’ meeting held in Osogbo.
He expressed gratitude to party members for their continued trust in his leadership, saying he would not take their confidence for granted.
“I am deeply grateful to the leaders, stakeholders and teeming members of the APC in Osun State for the overwhelming vote of confidence in my leadership,” Oyetola said.
The minister also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his commitment to the progress of the APC and the country, pledging the continued support of the Osun APC for the President’s Renewed Hope agenda.
According to him, the outcome of the August 15 governorship election offered important lessons for the party, stressing the need for reconciliation and grassroots rebuilding.
“Our task now is to unite, reconcile and rebuild our party from the grassroots, ensuring that every member feels valued and carried along,” he said.
Oyetola said he remained optimistic about the future of the APC in Osun State, expressing confidence that the party would emerge stronger and better prepared for future political challenges.
He commended the party’s governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), as well as party leaders and members for their commitment, resilience and loyalty.
Looking ahead to the 2027 general election, Oyetola said the party would work collectively to secure victory for its candidates and mobilise support for President Tinubu.
“Our eyes are firmly on 2027. We will work together to secure victory for our candidates and deliver the promised one million votes from Osun for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” he said.
Oyetola added that the progressive family in Osun remained united, declaring that the party’s rebuilding efforts would continue.
