Adeleke Targets Industrialisation, Ease of Doing Business to Boost Osun Economy
Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has announced plans to strengthen industrialisation, improve the ease of doing business and expand financial inclusion as part of efforts to drive economic growth across the state.
Adeleke made the commitment in a state broadcast marking the anniversary of the creation of Osun State, where he outlined his administration’s priorities for the next phase of development.
The governor said his administration would build on its achievements in infrastructure, the digital economy and agricultural mechanisation, while pursuing policies designed to create more economic opportunities for residents and businesses.
“Our state will witness particular attention to rural integrated development alongside a renewed focus on ease of doing business,” Adeleke said.
He said the administration would place greater emphasis on wealth creation and poverty reduction, stressing that economic policies must translate into improved opportunities for residents.
Adeleke also pledged to expand industrialisation while ensuring that workers’ welfare remains a key consideration.
“We will expand industrialisation within the scope of workers’ welfare,” the governor stated.
According to him, the state government will further strengthen the local content model and expand access to finance through the cooperative sector as part of efforts to promote inclusive economic growth.
“We will further refine the adoption of the local content model while expanding financial inclusion through cooperative sector financing,” Adeleke said.
The governor added that the administration would continue implementing its renewed five-point agenda in line with due process, procurement regulations and project implementation best practices.
He said youths, women and students would continue to receive special attention, while investments in education, healthcare, sports development and agricultural mechanisation would also be sustained.
