Abiodun Seeks Stronger Church-Government Partnership to Raise Responsible Youths

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has called for stronger collaboration between government and the Church in raising well-mannered, cultured and responsible young people in the state.

Abiodun made the call at the Golden Jubilee Thanksgiving Service of the Egba Anglican Diocese, held at St. Peter’s Cathedral, Ake, Abeokuta, as the diocese marked 50 years of faith, service and impact.

The Governor noted that the 50th anniversary celebration of the Egba Anglican Diocese coincided with Ogun State’s own 50th anniversary, describing the occasion as a significant milestone for both institutions.

He emphasised the important roles of the Church, families and schools in shaping the character of young people and instilling sound moral values.

According to the Governor, while government remains committed to providing infrastructure, education and opportunities for citizens, the responsibility of building responsible members of society requires collective efforts.

Abiodun also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to religious harmony and peaceful coexistence among residents of the state.

He pledged to strengthen the partnership between the government and religious leaders in promoting peace, unity and responsible citizenship across Ogun State.

The Governor congratulated the Egba Anglican Diocese on its 50th anniversary, while acknowledging its contributions to the spiritual and social development of the people over the years.
