mushin

The Chairman of Mushin Local Government, Tunbosun Haruna Aruwe, has continued the Aruwe Back-to-School Initiative with the distribution of essential learning materials to pupils across public primary schools in the council area.

The initiative, which commenced last year, is aimed at supporting families, encouraging education and ensuring that no child is left behind because of a lack of basic learning materials.

Continuing the 2026 edition, Aruwe visited five primary schools Akodu Primary School, Alaba Primary School, Ayelabowo Primary School, Mainland Model Primary School and Odu-Abore Primary School where educational materials were distributed to pupils.

The pupils received school bags, shoes, socks, exercise books, pencils, erasers, sharpeners and other essential learning materials to support their return to school and help them begin the new academic session with confidence.

Speaking during the visits, Aruwe warmly welcomed the pupils back to school and urged them to approach their studies with seriousness, discipline and determination to succeed.

He encouraged the pupils to listen attentively to their teachers, respect their parents and make good use of every opportunity available to them.

Aruwe reminded the pupils that their success would not only make their families proud but also bring honour to Mushin Local Government.
