Woman Alleges Police Assault, Extortion Attempt at Alonge Station in Lagos

A woman has raised an alarm over an alleged assault and extortion attempt involving officers at Alonge Police Station in Oworonshoki, Lagos State.
In a social media post, the woman called for public intervention, alleging that police officers at the station detained and assaulted her daughter after she reported a man who allegedly attacked her with a blade.
According to the woman, the suspect was subsequently released by the police, while her daughter was allegedly subjected to physical assault.
“Please, Nigerians, come to my rescue,” the woman reportedly said, alleging that officers at Alonge Police Station wanted to extort her.
As of the time of this report, there was no statement from the Lagos State Police Command addressing the allegations.
