FAAN Reacts as Fire Guts Terminal 2 at Lagos Airport
The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has reacted to a fire incident at Terminal 2 of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos, assuring the public that emergency responders are on top of the situation.
In a statement, FAAN said its Aerodrome Rescue and Firefighting Service (ARFFS) was immediately deployed to the scene and is working diligently to contain the fire.
The authority confirmed that there have been no reported casualties or loss of life.
FAAN added that emergency personnel are continuing efforts to bring the situation under control and prevent further damage.
The agency noted that the cause of the fire has not yet been determined and promised to provide further updates as more information becomes available.
