Several students are feared trapped after a multi-storey hostel building reportedly collapsed at the Federal Polytechnic Oko, Anambra State, on Sunday night.

The incident, which has sparked panic among students and residents, reportedly occurred while occupants were inside the building.

According to eyewitness accounts, residents living near the hostel said they heard a loud noise before the structure suddenly gave way. The sound attracted students and other residents, who rushed to the scene in an effort to rescue those trapped beneath the rubble.
