“On your mandate we stand” Kogi East Stakeholders Commend Faleke, Pledge Support for Tinubu’s Re-election

Stakeholders from the Kogi East Senatorial District have commended the member representing Ikeja Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, for what they described as his impactful leadership and contributions to the development of Kogi State.

The stakeholders, drawn from the nine local government areas that make up Kogi East, conveyed their position in an open letter in which they also reaffirmed their commitment to the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The letter, signed by 21 prominent political and community leaders, described Kogi East as the largest political bloc in the state and praised Faleke’s leadership, integrity, and commitment to the welfare of the people.

“We bring you felicitations from the good people of the largest political bloc in Kogi State, the Kogi East Region,” the letter read.

The stakeholders recalled the 2015 governorship election, in which the late Prince Abubakar Audu and James Faleke emerged victorious before the election was declared inconclusive following Audu’s death. They said the events surrounding the election demonstrated Faleke’s character and loyalty.

“Politics is where character, integrity and leadership are tested, while history delivers its ultimate verdict with time. The massive electoral victory of the late Prince Abubakar Audu/James Abiodun Faleke in the ill-fated 2015 election brought you out clearly as a man of impeccable character, high integrity and a dependable ally,” the letter stated.

According to the signatories, Faleke has remained a dependable supporter of Kogi East and has redefined political leadership through people-oriented initiatives and interventions across the state.

They credited him with facilitating infrastructure projects, empowering youths and women, creating employment opportunities, and supporting appointments into government boards, parastatals, and other strategic public offices.

The stakeholders also said Faleke’s interventions have aligned with the objectives of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, adding that his leadership has promoted unity and inclusive development across Kogi State.

“You are a detribalised, courageous, dependable and compassionate leader whose legacy of inclusive leadership and tangible dividends has continued to inspire us in Kogi East,” the letter added.

They further pledged their continued support and loyalty to the lawmaker, expressing appreciation for what they described as his immense contributions to the development of the region.

Among those who signed the open letter are Hon. Hassan Omale, Dr. Mohammed Jibril (Dangote) and Mallam Isiaka Ibrahim Yunusa (Ankpa Local Government Area); Hon. Daniel Sekpe and Engr. Alhaji Yakubu Faruk Umar (Bassa); Rear Admiral Jibrin O. Usman (Rtd) and Comrade (Chief) Isa Daniel (Dekina).

Others include Barr. Memuna Eke Audu and Barr. Ndamodu Ali (Ofu); Prof. Stephen Ocheni and Hon. Danladi Okutepa Usman (Igala-Mela/Odolu); Senator Dangana Ocheja and Hajiya Talatu Mohammed (Idah); Hon. Hassan Abara and Comrade Mark Ogah (Ibaji); AIG Abdulsalam Iyaji (Rtd) and Hon. Abel Egbita (Omala); as well as Dr. J. S. Ekele, DCP Adejoh Aurelius, and Hon. Emmanuel Ekele (Olamaboro).
