FRSC Issues Traffic Advisory After Multiple Crashes on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway

FRSC traffic advisory

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has issued a traffic advisory urging motorists to avoid the Kara Bridge/Ojodu Berger section of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway following multiple road crashes that occurred in the early hours of Friday.

The Lagos-Ibadan Expressway crashes caused significant traffic disruption as rescue and recovery operations continued at the scene.

FRSC advised motorists travelling outward from Lagos to Ibadan to use the Ikorodu–Sagamu route as an alternative, while those heading into Lagos were urged to consider the Lekki–Epe Expressway or the Ikorodu–Sagamu Expressway to avoid the affected section.

The Corps appealed to road users to remain patient and cooperate with traffic management officials working to restore the free flow of traffic.

FRSC also urged motorists to drive cautiously, ensure their vehicles are mechanically fit, particularly the braking system, and avoid excessive speeding as well as unnecessary night journeys.
