PiggyVest Attributes Transaction Delays to NIBSS Network Downtime
Digital savings and investment platform PiggyVest has attributed some recent delays in customer transactions to a temporary network disruption affecting the Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System (NIBSS).
The development followed complaints from some users who reported delays in completing transactions on the platform.
PiggyVest said the NIBSS network downtime affected the processing of some transactions, resulting in delays for customers using the platform.
The company’s terms of service also acknowledge that disruptions involving NIBSS, payment processors or banking partners may lead to delays in payment processing.
Meanwhile, some users also reported difficulties logging into their PiggyVest accounts. However, the reports did not establish that the login complaints were caused by the NIBSS disruption.
