President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has held talks with Bolloré Group Chairman Vincent Bolloré in Paris on plans to expand investments in Nigeria’s creative and digital economy.
The meeting, held on Friday, September 18, 2026, during the President’s working vacation, focused on deepening the localisation of the group’s operations in Nigeria across film, entertainment, fibre-optic infrastructure and related sectors.
According to a statement by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the Bolloré Group confirmed plans for new investments centred on Nigeria, which it described as a leading force in Africa’s cultural renaissance, driven by the global success of Nollywood and Afrobeats.
The group’s media and digital interests include Canal+, MultiChoice and Universal Music Group.
During the meeting, Bolloré and his executives outlined investment plans aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s creative industry and digital infrastructure while responding to growing international demand for Nigerian cultural content.
