Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas, has unveiled the Taraba State Development Master Plan and Taraba State Water Plan as part of activities marking the state’s 35th anniversary.

Kefas unveiled the strategic frameworks at a gala night held in Jalingo, describing them as important tools for guiding the state’s long-term growth and sustainable development.

According to the governor, the plans provide a clear roadmap for physical planning, infrastructure expansion and effective management of water resources across the state.

He said the frameworks would help address the development needs of Taraba residents while laying a sustainable foundation for future generations.

Kefas also acknowledged the contributions of successive administrations, both military and civilian, to the development of Taraba over the past 35 years.

He noted that previous leaders had, at different times, provided people-focused governance and laid foundations upon which the current administration is building.

Speaking at the event, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris Malagi, described Taraba’s 35th anniversary as a significant milestone.

Idris highlighted the state’s abundant natural resources and agricultural potential, describing Taraba as one of Nigeria’s frontier states for agriculture.
