NBTI Positions Innovation Ecosystem as Launchpad for Young Nigerian Innovators
The National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI) has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s innovation ecosystem by connecting young innovators with the resources, expertise and partnerships needed to transform ideas into impactful solutions.
The agency, in a recent message, emphasised that innovation thrives in an environment where knowledge, technology, mentorship, funding, infrastructure, industry and opportunities converge.
According to NBTI, its role is to serve as a central link within the innovation ecosystem, helping entrepreneurs and young innovators access the support required to move from the idea stage to developing practical solutions with measurable impact.
The board encouraged young Nigerians to pursue bold ideas and leverage available opportunities, noting that innovation can begin at the community level, scale across Nigeria and Africa, and ultimately reach global markets.
NBTI said its incubation approach is designed to help innovators navigate the journey from conceptualising an idea to building solutions capable of creating economic and social value.
“NBTI is at the centre of the ecosystem, helping to connect the dots, open doors and create pathways for innovation to thrive,” the board stated.
The agency, however, stressed that while it provides an enabling ecosystem, young innovators remain central to shaping the future of innovation.
It urged aspiring innovators to believe in the potential of their ideas and take advantage of the support available to turn their creativity into sustainable solutions.
