Tinubu Orders Immediate Rescue of Niger Abduction Victims

Tinubu

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has ordered the immediate commencement of a coordinated rescue operation following the recent mass abduction and killing of innocent citizens in Niger State.
The President directed the Armed Forces, Nigeria Police Force, Department of State Services (DSS), and other relevant security and intelligence agencies to work together to rescue those abducted and bring the perpetrators to justice.
In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, on Monday, Tinubu condemned the attack, describing the perpetrators as “enemies of peace and enemies of humanity” who would not escape justice.
Tinubu also expressed condolences to the families of those killed in the attack, assuring affected families that the Federal Government would not relent until the abducted victims are safely reunited with their loved ones.
“You are not alone. The entire nation shares your anguish. We will not rest until your sons, daughters, mothers and fathers are brought back safely to you,” the President said.
The President further directed the Service Chiefs to provide him with regular updates on the progress of the rescue operation until all the abducted victims are accounted for.
He assured residents of Niger State that the Federal Government would provide necessary support for recovery, relief efforts and security reinforcement.
“Terror will not cow Nigeria. We will defend our people, protect our communities, and uphold the sanctity of human life,” Tinubu said.
