Radda Commends N30m Donation, Empowerment Support for Musawa, Matazu Communities
Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, has commended stakeholders for supporting a community relief and empowerment programme aimed at assisting residents affected by insecurity in Musawa and Matazu Local Government Areas.
The governor made this known during a community relief and empowerment programme in Musawa, where the Musawa Development Initiative (MDI) was launched by indigenes to support vulnerable communities and promote sustainable development.
Radda particularly commended Hon. Abdullahi Aliyu Ahmed Dujiman Katsina, representing the Matazu/Musawa Federal Constituency in the 10th National Assembly for donating N30 million and facilitating the distribution of 101 motorcycles, agricultural inputs, financial assistance and relief materials to beneficiaries across Musawa and Matazu.
The governor also appreciated individuals and organisations that contributed to the initiative, including Minister of Arts and Culture, Hannatu Musawa, Alhaji Muttaka Badaru Jikamshi and Alhaji Muhammad Abu Ibrahim.
Radda welcomed the pledge to support the Community Watch Corps in Musawa and Matazu, stressing the importance of community-based security in protecting lives, property and economic activities.
He said the state government would continue to invest in key sectors, including security, agriculture, education, healthcare, infrastructure and youth empowerment.
According to him, government interventions would continue to focus on ensuring that vulnerable residents and communities benefit from development programmes.
The governor urged beneficiaries to make productive use of the support received and encouraged residents to remain united, peaceful and committed to the development of their communities.
“Working together with communities and stakeholders, we will continue building your future,” Radda said.
