Soludo Urges Anambra Indigenes in Diaspora to Invest in State
Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, has urged Anambra indigenes living abroad to remain connected to their roots and contribute to the development of the state through investment, innovation and enterprise.
Soludo made the call in Toronto, Canada, while addressing Anambra indigenes at the 2026 Nigeria Diaspora Economic Conference, themed “Thrive Abroad and Invest in Nigeria.”
The governor said the conversations at the conference were timely, stressing the need for Anambra indigenes in the Diaspora to remain rooted in their identity and values while maintaining strong connections with home.
According to him, Anambra indigenes abroad have an important role to play in building a stronger and more prosperous state by contributing their ideas, resources and expertise.
He also urged the younger generation to step forward through technology, enterprise, innovation and advocacy, saying their contributions could help create new opportunities for the people of Anambra.
Soludo said his administration’s engagement with Anambra indigenes in the Diaspora was driven by purpose and a desire to establish meaningful partnerships that would benefit the state.
“For us in Anambra, this is about purpose, not just presence. We are here to connect, build genuine partnerships, attract investment, and create real opportunities,” the governor said.
He further encouraged Anambra indigenes abroad to see the state as a place where ideas could be transformed into viable businesses, investments could create value and opportunities could translate into lasting prosperity.
Soludo said the state remained open to partnerships with its people in the Diaspora as part of efforts to attract investment, promote enterprise and accelerate economic development in Anambra.
