Oyetola: Osun Deserves Better Roads, Balanced Development

Former Osun State Governor and Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Gboyega Oyetola, has criticised the poor condition of roads across the state, saying residents deserve to see the impact of government resources in their communities.

Oyetola spoke on wednesday in Inisa, Odo-Otin Local Government Area, where he met with All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders, stakeholders and supporters ahead of Saturday’s Osun State governorship election.

The former governor expressed concern over what he described as the poor state of roads across Osun despite substantial federal allocations accruing to the state in the past three years.

He said, “Our people deserve to see the impact of government resources in their communities.”

Oyetola stressed that development should not be concentrated in one part of the state, arguing that every community deserves access to good roads, quality education, primary healthcare and other essential public services.

He expressed confidence that the APC governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), would deliver balanced development and ensure that state resources were judiciously deployed if elected.

According to Oyetola, “Development must not be concentrated in one locality. Every part of Osun deserves good roads, quality education, accessible primary healthcare and other essential public services.”

He also urged APC members and supporters to remain united, peaceful and vigilant during Saturday’s election, calling on voters to come out in large numbers, exercise their civic responsibility and protect their votes.

Oyetola appreciated the support and endorsements received from prominent party leaders and stakeholders in Odo-Otin, including former Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola and Alhaji Shuaib Oyedokun.

He said the warm reception and enthusiasm displayed by residents in Inisa reinforced his belief that Osun voters were ready for what he described as a new direction.

Oyetola urged party members to work together to secure victory for AMBO and build an Osun State that works for all residents.
