Radda Urges Unity, Warns Against Politicising Insecurity.

Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda, has called on Nigerians to refrain from politicising insecurity, stressing that restoring peace requires collective responsibility, unity and sustained support for security agencies.

Speaking during a sensitisation programme and public lecture in Katsina, the governor urged residents to intensify prayers for lasting peace while encouraging citizens to work closely with security agencies, traditional rulers and religious leaders in tackling banditry and other forms of criminality. 

Radda said insecurity affects all citizens regardless of political affiliation, ethnicity or religion, warning against attempts to exploit the country’s security challenges for political gain.

The governor also appealed to community members to provide credible intelligence to security agencies and expose informants and collaborators aiding criminal groups. According to him, defeating insecurity requires the active participation of every stakeholder, not government alone. 

He commended the efforts of security agencies and the Katsina State Community Watch Corps, describing their contributions as critical to ongoing operations against bandits across the state.

Radda further urged religious leaders to use their sermons to promote peace, unity, obedience to the law and support for lawful authorities, noting that responsible leadership at the grassroots is essential to achieving lasting security.
