Keyamo: Don’t Judge Tinubu Until Reforms Are Completed

The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has urged Nigerians to allow President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to complete his administration’s reforms, insisting that the government should be assessed based on the final outcomes rather than ongoing political debates.

Speaking on Politics Today on Channels Television on Thursday, Keyamo said many of the administration’s economic and infrastructure reforms are long-term initiatives whose benefits will become more evident in the coming years.

He cautioned against allowing discussions about the 2027 general election to overshadow governance, stressing that the Tinubu administration remains focused on delivering on its mandate.

Keyamo also disclosed that the Federal Government is accelerating efforts to modernise airports across the country through terminal upgrades, infrastructure expansion and improved passenger facilities.

According to him, work is underway to rehabilitate and expand airport terminals, including Terminal One, while improving connectivity within airport facilities to make passenger movement and airport operations more efficient.

He added that the government is reviewing airport concession agreements to ensure Nigerians get value for money while attracting increased private sector investment into the aviation sector.

The minister said the administration is also strengthening partnerships with international airlines and investors as part of its plan to position Nigeria as a leading aviation hub in West Africa.

Keyamo expressed confidence that the ongoing aviation reforms would improve safety, efficiency andservice delivery while delivering long-term economic benefits for the country.
