NITDA Reaffirms Commitment to Strategic Partnerships, Digital Innovation

The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening strategic partnerships and advancing digital innovation as key drivers of Nigeria’s digital transformation and economic growth.

The agency made this known at the 20th International Conference on Technology and Computing (RISE 2026), organised by the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) in Jos, Plateau State.

Representing the Director General of NITDA, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, CCIE, the agency’s Director of Stakeholder Management and Partnership, Dr. Aristotle Onumo, described collaboration among government, academia, industry and the innovation ecosystem as essential for building a sustainable digital economy.

According to him, NITDA remains focused on investing in digital literacy, research and development, emerging technologies, cybersecurity and innovation in line with the agency’s Strategic Roadmap and Action Plan (SRAP 2.0).

He noted that stronger partnerships would unlock innovation, create new opportunities and accelerate inclusive economic growth across the country.

Dr. Onumo also highlighted the upcoming Digital Nigeria Conference 2026, describing it as Nigeria’s flagship technology event that brings together policymakers, innovators, startups, researchers, investors and technology enthusiasts to explore emerging trends and develop solutions to national challenges.

He encouraged young innovators and technology startups to take advantage of the conference’s Builders Summit to showcase their innovations, connect with industry leaders and contribute to Nigeria’s digital future.

The NITDA representative further congratulated the Nigeria Computer Society on the successful organisation of RISE 2026, praising the society for providing a platform that promotes knowledge sharing and technological advancement.

He reaffirmed NITDA’s commitment to deepening strategic partnerships that will strengthen Nigeria’s digital ecosystem, drive innovation and support sustainable national development.
