“I Won’t Let This Slide”: Reporter Reacts After Clash With Kizz Daniel’s Security

Tensions reportedly escalated at the Supremacy Concert at the Eko Convention Centre shortly after Nigerian singer Kizz Daniel concluded his performance, following an alleged confrontation between his security team and a reporter.

Videos circulating on social media appear to show members of the singer’s security detail pushing the reporter as he attempted to speak with Kizz Daniel in the hallway after the performance. The reporter’s microphone was reportedly damaged during the incident.

Following the encounter, the frustrated interviewer shared images and videos of his damaged equipment on social media, expressing his displeasure over what happened and indicating that he intends to seek accountability for the damage.

The incident has since sparked mixed reactions among social media users. While some criticised the security personnel for allegedly using excessive force and argued that the reporter should be compensated for the damaged equipment, others defended the security team, noting that crowd control and protecting artists are part of their responsibilities, particularly in busy areas after performances.Neither Kizz Daniel nor his management team has publicly addressed the reported incident at the time of writing.
