ADC Disowns Report Naming Eleka As Ekiti State Leader
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Ekiti State has distanced itself from a report circulating on social media which claimed that former governorship candidate, Kolapo Olusola Eleka, had been appointed as the party’s state leader.
The party described the report as false and unauthorised, stressing that it did not emanate from the recognised leadership of the ADC in Ekiti State.
The clarification followed the circulation of a publication purporting to announce Eleka as the party’s new state leader.
According to the party, the report should be disregarded by members, supporters and the general public, as the purported announcement was not approved by the appropriate party authorities.
The development comes amid political activities within the ADC ahead of the 2027 general elections, with the party expected to continue its internal engagements and preparations in Ekiti State.
The ADC urged its members and the public to rely on official statements from the party for information concerning its leadership and activities.
