Ondo Governor Launches AI System to Automate Civil Service, Payroll, Pension

Ondo

Ondo State Governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has launched an artificial intelligence-powered digital human resource management system designed to modernise the administration of civil servants in the state.
The platform, known as Ondo AI, is expected to automate key processes including personnel administration, payroll management, retirement and pension processing.
According to the state government, the system will provide real-time access to accurate personnel information while allowing workers to access their payslips and personnel records digitally.
The platform will also generate retirement alerts and support a smoother transition for workers from active service into the pension system.
Speaking at the launch, Governor Aiyedatiwa said the initiative was designed to replace outdated analogue processes and reduce bureaucratic bottlenecks in the state’s public service.
He said the system would also improve government decision-making, promote transparency and make personnel management more efficient.
The governor urged public servants to ensure that information entered into the platform is accurate and reliable, stressing that the effectiveness of the system depends on the integrity of the data provided.
The Head of Service, Chief Segun Odusanya, described Ondo AI as a significant step towards transforming and modernising the state’s public service.
The system was developed by SmartApps IT Limited and is also expected to support Ondo State’s compliance with World Bank HOPE-GO requirements relating to automation and transparency in public administration.
