ASUP Strike: Federal Polytechnic Offa Suspends Examinations
The Federal Polytechnic, Offa, Kwara State, has suspended its ongoing examinations following the commencement of an indefinite strike by the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP).
The institution announced the suspension in a notice issued to students on Thursday, September 10, 2026, signed by the Dean of Examinations and Timetables, Dr O.K.S. Emiola.
According to the notice, ASUP has embarked on strike action “until further notice,” forcing the polytechnic to place examinations scheduled to begin on September 14 on hold.
The management advised students to await further information on the resumption of the examinations.
The development is expected to affect students preparing for their examinations, as the institution did not give a new date for the suspended papers.
