NAF Intensifies Air Operations Against Terrorists in Sokoto.

NAF

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has intensified its air operations against terrorists, bandits, kidnappers and other criminal elements in Sokoto State and across the North-West.

The development was announced on Monday in Abuja by the NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame.

Ejodame said the increased air presence in Sokoto was aimed at supporting ongoing joint security operations in the region.

He explained that the strengthened deployment would help security forces tackle threats posed by terrorists and bandits who take advantage of difficult terrain and mobility to evade ground troops.

According to him, the operation is also designed to improve aerial surveillance and strengthen the military’s ability to respond quickly to emerging threats.

The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, said the NAF would continue to work with the Nigerian Army and other security agencies to sustain pressure on criminal elements and protect communities.

Aneke said the Air Force would maintain an intelligence-led approach while ensuring that its operations give due consideration to civilian safety.

The NAF also urged members of the public to provide timely and credible information to relevant authorities to support ongoing security operations.
