Oyebamiji Meets Tinubu, Shettima, Vows to Pursue Justice Over Osun Governorship Election
The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in the just-concluded Osun State governorship election, Bola Oyebamiji, has met with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Oyebamiji disclosed this in a statement following the meetings, saying discussions with the President centred on the outcome of the Osun governorship election and developments arising from the exercise.
According to him, President Tinubu commended the commitment and resilience of APC members and supporters in Osun State while stressing the need for a more united and focused party in the state.
Oyebamiji said the President also emphasised the importance of maintaining peaceful coexistence among residents, particularly ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The APC candidate added that he also held a brief meeting with Vice President Shettima, whose words of encouragement and solidarity, he said, reassured Osun APC members that they were not alone during the challenging period.
Oyebamiji said the party remained committed to pursuing justice, defending democratic values and working for the progress of Osun State.
“As a party, we remain resolute, united and committed to the pursuit of justice, the defence of our democratic values and the continued progress of Osun State,” he said.
