FG soft Launches Government Service Portal to Improve Access to Public Services
The Federal Government has soft-launched the Government Service Portal, a digital platform designed to provide citizens in Nigeria and the diaspora with a single, trusted gateway to access an expanding range of government services.
The portal is expected to improve the delivery of public services by making them more accessible, efficient, transparent and citizen-centred, in line with the government’s digital transformation agenda.
The soft launch was led by the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy (FMCIDE), represented by the Director of e-Government, Mr. Johnson Bariyei.
Also present at the event were the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Galaxy Backbone (GBB), Professor Ibrahim Adeyanju, Executive Director of Digital Exploration and Technical Services, Olumbe Akinkugbe, and other members of the company’s leadership team.
Speaking during the launch, the officials reaffirmed Galaxy Backbone’s commitment to enabling digital government through resilient digital infrastructure that supports seamless access to public services.
