Momodu, who shared her experience in a recent disclosure, said she was mocked and subjected to emotional and psychological abuse because she became pregnant while unmarried.

She recalled that the experience was particularly difficult because she was raised as a pastor’s daughter and faced expectations surrounding her upbringing and personal life.

According to her, the reaction from some people left her dealing with painful experiences at a period when she was also adjusting to motherhood.

Momodu’s disclosure highlights the social pressure that women can face over pregnancy outside marriage, particularly where family, religious and cultural expectations play a significant role.

She has previously spoken publicly about aspects of her personal experiences and motherhood, including her journey raising her daughter.
