VDM addressed the development in an Instagram video, dismissing concerns over the number of followers he had reportedly lost and insisting that the move would not weaken his influence.

“13,000 people don unfollow me? Jesus, what did I do?” VDM said, while sarcastically reacting to reports about the mass unfollowing.

He questioned what the followers had contributed to his life, arguing that he had instead used his platform to create awareness and support many of them.

According to him, he would rather focus on his influence than the number of followers on his account, adding that previous attempts by people to turn public opinion against him had only made him more influential.

“Do you know by mistake, if you people are not able to beat me, I become more powerful and more influential,” he said.

VDM’s reaction comes amid his recent public face-off with PSquare’s Peter Okoye, which has generated significant reactions online and further intensified discussions surrounding the activist’s controversial approach to celebrity disputes.

Despite the reported loss of followers, VDM maintained that he was not bothered, saying even a much larger number of unfollows would not affect him.
